Lydia Martin
Lydia was always a genius. But already from a young age, what was in her mind never seemed to matter all that much to other people. She was the pretty girl, and when she reached puberty she was continously treated like an airhead. Lydia played along, it was easier that way. Easier to trick people, that is, and have them wrapped around her little finger.
She did the same with Jackson for a long time, and she thought she had suceeded with the whole school, but Stiles and Alison have both seen through it. She considers them the people she trusts the most to be herself with, although around Stiles that sometimes gets awkward due to his crush on her. Part of her wants them to be friends, but not until she's sure he's over it. It's only gonna get complicated otherwise. Her feelings for Jackson grew a lot stronger and deeper than she had ever planned for, but as big and romantic as it had seemed at first that her love saved his life or whatever it was that happened that night, Lydia wasn't ready to just jump back into things with him. Well, maybe once or twice. Then Jackson left for London, maybe just for the summer, maybe for longer. She didn't know, and she decided not to care. Even if that was easier said than done.
She's had a summer full of short romances. Anything from simple flirting to taking them home when her mother was gone. She's keeping herself from getting attached, she's not falling into the same trap she did with Jackson again. No, this year Lydia is going to focus on school, fun and her friends. Not boyfriends, and definitely not dead bodies.

Stiles Stilinski
Stiles is the son of John and Claudia Stilinski. He's an only child. From he was born, Stiles was a difficult child. He has ADHD which was discovered after his mother died, and he often takes too much Adderall which makes him hyper. When he was ten years old, his mother died of cancer. This had a big impact on Stile's life. His father started drinking, and Stiles spent a lot of time at the McCall house. After about five months of this, Mr. Stilinski got himself together and has been a good father since. The two of them are close, but Stiles blames himself for his mother's death, and feels like that comes between him and his father. They never will forget Claudia.
During their Junior year of High School, Stiles' best friend Scott was turned into a werewolf. Stiles, being the awesome best friend that he is, got involved too. Even though Scott insists he's not a part of the Hale pack, Stiles feels like they both are, him being a honorary human member. They always do get involved when something happens with the pack, and Stiles has become the research person. When he is looking for something, he doesn't rest before he has found it.
Early on Stiles started a crush on Lydia Martin. He could see behind her stupid act, there was more to her. After seeing her help Jackson turn into a werewolf, he has accepted that he will never get her. This doesn't mean that he's perfectly straight. In fact, he doesn't like labeling himself. Stiles is attracted to personalities, but a nice body doesn't hurt.
Stiles is sarcastic and the comic relief in the group. His head-to-mouth filter doesn't work, and he often says just what's on his mind. This often get's him in trouble, especially with Derek.
