September 2nd, 12:00
Lydia pursed her lips as she opened her locker and checked her reflection in the mirror she'd attached to the door, had she been anyone else she would have frowned, but frowning was not going to help anything. Instead she selected a lip gloss from the make up bag she kept at school in case of emergencies and reapplied. Once done, she pursed her lips again and checked her reflection before giving herself a small smile.
She reached into her bag and pulled out her History file, placing it on the shelf in front of her, it may be a new year, but Lydia was never one to slack when it came to organisation. The more organised she was, the less the freaky shit got in the way of her grades, no matter what happened she would not let her grades or her appearance suffer from anything that was going on. she ran her finger down the spine of the file with a smile recalling her history class from this morning.
There had been several new students this year, one she had met briefly over the summer, Malia, who was a feral thing that needed a good makeover, Kira, whose father was a teacher here, and the twins. The twins were her favourite new additions so far, she could safely say that they had caught her eye from the moment they had walked into the room. They were tall, muscular and good looking, one of them knew it and the other came across as a little more humble, it was a shame the humble one was gay, it would have made her life more interesting if he wasn't, but she couldn't have everything.
She stopped her reminiscing and picked up the math file from the shelf and sliding it into her bag, which was of course carefully chosen so that her school files fit perfectly without it looking like she was overloaded. Then she felt a prickle as the hair rose on the back of her neck, someone was watching her, it didn't phase her, it never did, but it made her curious. People watched her all the time, how could they not, but what about this person watching her had made her notice that they were?

Aiden was at his locker, pretending to look at a piece of paper when really he was just watching Lydia. He hasn't introduced himself to her yet but he totally planned to. She was the reason he was there anyway, well her and Danny but Danny was Ethan's domain and Aiden was okay with that. He'd caught the redhead looking at him on a few occasions throughout the day and that was just all the more reassuring. Not that Aiden doubted his abilities anyway, he's just heard things about this girl.
He looks straight at her when he sees that she quits moving. She must know that he's staring at her. He stops for a moment and looks back to the piece of paper he is holding and then shoves it in his locker, slamming the door closed. He's got his back to her now and he runs his fingers through his hair and checks to make sure his breath isn't bad. It could be better, but she'd get over it.
Now, Aiden turns and starts towards Lydia, coming up behind her he leans against the lockers next to her's, on the other side of her door, raising an eyebrow a little, he grins.
"I figured it was high time I introduced myself. Name's Aiden Monroe."
He shoots her a wink, that smirks till on his face.
"You're Lydia Martin."

The prickling feeling faded and Lydia continued to sort her bag out for that afternoon's classes, she hummed a couple of random notes as she selected which lipgloss she would put in the pocket of her bag in case of a mid lesson emergency when the feeling returned again, whoever it was, was looking back at her. She looked down the corridor, away from her mirror, out of the corner of her eye. As she turned back to face the inside of her locker again she felt the air pressure change around her as though someone was standing close to her and the door shifted a little in her hand, the way it did when someone lent of the section of lockers. She knew there was no one on one side, and a quick glance at the floor revealed a pair of very well chosen shoes to her right.
Then someone spoke. A deep voice that she'd only heard floating across classrooms that day. She didn't move much in response to his words, just tilting her head and shoulders back enough to see past the door and looked him up and down. She gave him a smile in return, she had to admit that he had a serious advantage before he started the conversation in the fact that she was already interested. Secondly he was gorgeous, she wouldn't go so far as to describe him as an Adonis, but she hadn't seen him with his shirt off yet. The third advantage was that he had made the first move, he was scared to show the world who he'd been looking at and that was a kind of confidence that some men would never achieve. Lastly, by coming up to her he clearly wasn't perturbed by the 'new boy' stigma, that or he'd heard rumours about her already and really, who could blame a guy for trying.
She raised an eyebrow as he winked at her and then told her he knew who she was. "I hope you know it'll take more than knowing my name to impress me." she said smoothly before turning back to the contents of her locker and grabbing the last file she would need, sliding it swiftly into her bag. She had fully expected him to know what her name was, any guy who was worth his salt would do some amount of research before engaging the girl he had chosen to pursue in conversation. She selected the emergency lip gloss she wanted and slid it into the pocket of her bag. She took half a step back from her locker and looked back at Aiden, she couldn't help herself, he was that nice to look at. "Credit where it's due though I suppose."

Aiden's smirk grows at her words and he nods his head a bit.
"Of course I know it's going to take more than that. Thanks for the credit though."
He can't help but to look her over and he's grateful that she's at least extremely pleasant to look at. He probably couldn't have asked for a better job to do. Only downside was attending school. They didn't need it and they certainly didn't want to be here. Ethan seemed to be taking it better than Aiden was though, he was always better at just accepting what was, instead of questioning it constantly. It's what got Aiden into trouble a lot. That and his anger issues. He'd keep that to himself though, Lydia didn't need to know those things.
"What's your next class? Let me walk you to it."
Aiden raises an eyebrow a bit as he waits for her to respond. He hopes she says yes, makes this easy for him but she seemed like the type of girl that played hard to get. She was going to be work, real work but he was prepared for whatever it took. He'd get close to her if he had to die trying to and he just might if they ever found out who he really was or what he wanted. Same with Ethan. At least Aiden would be able to keep real feelings out of all of this, he didn't have to worry about actually falling for this girl, Ethan might actually start to like Danny and that worried Aiden a bit. So he made sure to reiterate before they even came to school today what they were to do there. They weren't here to make friends.

Lydia looked away from him after he'd spoken to make sure she shut her locker correctly, the last thing she wanted was anyone else getting in there and messing up her stuff. She was quite particular about the way her locker was organised, simply because it was such a small space and unless she kept things in order she would never have enough space in there.
She could tell that he was looking at her as she did so but Jackson had done similar things before so it was nothing unusual. She had to stop thinking about Jackson, hell she didn't even know if he was coming back from England, let alone if he would want to pick things up again. Jackson wasn't important right now, Aiden was the one stood next to her locker asking if he could walk her to her next class.
"I have History," she said looking at him thoughtfully, she was perfectly capable of walking herself to class she'd been doing just fine walking herself for most of her life, however, she had missed the small amount of companionship shared by having a guy walking her to class. Walking with Allison was not the same, they were best friends, sure, but it was a different type of conversation, or not, that could be had when being escorted by a member of the opposite sex. "How far out of your way would that take you?" she asked curiously, his answer would directly correlate to how many points he'd score by this venture, if he was in the same class it would be zero, but if he had a class on the other side of the school she'd be more impressed by it.
